VKR, VNB & AGK College of Engineering established in the year 2008 . It is a self financing institution which owes its foundation to the bold and inspired vision of General and technical education society of Gudivada.
The institution is ideally located in a vast expanse of 15 acres of land on the outskirts of Gudivada city . The departmental buildings are located in close proximity each other with wide open spaces all around.
The playfields and other student and staff amenities are within working distances from the faculty blocks.
The college was established for providing technical manpower initially in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering,Electrical Engineering. Since then the college has continuously evolved itself to meet the changes in the field of Engineering.Undergraduate Courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering besides two postgraduate courses in the fields of M.Tech(CSE, VLSI, Thermal Engineering) Master of business administration(MBA).
The College is recognized by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education Delhi). The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
The College has about 1400 students, more than 110 faculty and around 70 technical and supporting staff. The hallmark of the campus is the good facilities which cater to the academic and extracurricular interests of the students. The campus provides ample opportunities for developing extracurricular skills which include NCC, NSS, Students Chapters of IEEE, social clubs and sports & games. The Alumni of this institution have excelled in various spheres and are positioned very well globally in a number of leading Government, Public Sector & Private Organizations.
The college has revised and updated the course contents and laboratory equipments from time to time to keep pace with the changes in technology and in meeting the growing needs of the industry.
The college offers a conductive environment for research utilizing which the members of faculty have been pursuing active research producing large number of research publications and improving their qualifications. The management has been encouraging the faculty to organize various research oriented seminars and conferences.

The institute is headed by Young, Innovative and Visionary Personality Dr. S.H.V. Prasada Rao who did his B.Tech from S.V.H. college of Engineering, Machilipatnam, Krishna(Dt) and M.Tech from JNTUK, Kakinada, E.G(Dt). He was awarded Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. A. Sudhakar, Principal, R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering, Guntur in “DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN ANTENNA FOR ULTRA WIDE BAND APPLICATIONS” from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has an illustrious academic experience of 27 years. He worked in various capacities. He rendered his duties at C.R. Polytechnic, Chilakaluripet, Guntur(Dt) and VKR & VNB Polytechnic, Gudivada, Krishna(Dt) for 11 years together. He also served as an Assistant Professor in S.R.T.I.S.T., Nalgonda, Nalgonda(Dt) for one year and Layola Institute of Technology and Management, Dhulipalla, Sattenapalli, Guntur (Dt) for 3 years. He headed the department of ECE and Vice-Principal of G.V.R. & S. College of Engineering and Technology, Budampadu, Guntur for 3 years. He served as Principal (i/c) of G.V.R. & S. College of Engineering for Women, Budampadu, Guntur for 5 years. He worked as Principal (i/c) and Principal of P.N.C. and Vijai Institute of Engineering and Technology, Phirangipuram, Guntur (dt.) for 3.5 years. He worked as Principal of Narasaraopet Institute of Technology, Narasaraopet, Guntur (Dt) for 5 months. He headed the department of ECE and Vice-Principal of VKR, VNB & AGK College of Engineering, Gudivada, Krishna(Dt) for one year.
Dr.Prasada Rao published more than 17 technical papers in International and National journals and conferences of International Repute. He presented 1 paper in IEEE conference INCEMIC–2015 held at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has his wings of knowledge in the field of RF and Microwave Antenna Design for Wireless Communication Environment and his research interest lies in the design of Broadband, Multiband and UWB Antennas for Wireless and Mobile Communication.
Dr. Prasada Rao has been received DST NIMAT Project 2019-20 Sanctioned under the aegis of National Science &Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi for the program Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) an amount of Rs.40, 000/-.
His Mission and Vision is to provide the best to the student folk as well as teaching community. He is innovative in implementing and enhancing the utility of Sophisticated Technology, he carves to update himself with Global Trends and Developments. He is very keen and vigilant about professional updates and encourages the staff and students to practice the professionalism. He is ardent lover at self discipline and self respect.
